Established in 2002, the Center for Community Health Research and Development (Website) is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization working in research and communication for community health and development.

Vision
To be a leading organization for health and development communication and promotion in Vietnam.

Mission
CCRD’s mission is to contribute to the improvement and equity of health care and social advancement for the Vietnamese people through a systematic and sustainable approach that combines sound knowledge, cultural sensitivity and capacity building.

Staff
Our staff consists of 22 people, including experienced specialists and university graduates from various disciplines, such as public/community health, sociology, anthropology, psychology, general medicine, communication, journalism, information technology, management, and economics.

Areas of expertise

Health and Development Communication
Produce various health and development communication products, applying state-of-the-art and effective approaches including behavior change communication and entertainment-education.

Research and Evaluation
Design and conduct public health and health communication research of various types, including baseline, mid-term and end-line surveys, operational research, situation analysis, case studies, public policy research and evaluations, formative research and evaluations on the impact of communication programs. The organization has proven experience in conducting national sampling surveys in the health sector from which findings have been applied to health policy changes and interventions.

Training
Provide training courses on health communication, including training in health communication program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and training courses on public health research.

Technical Assistance 
Provide technical consultancy to health communication program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, including designing content, editing scripts, organizing and monitoring communication materials production. Provide technical consultancy to development and management/implementation of reproductive health/safe motherhood and primary health care intervention projects/programs at the national and local levels, formulation of national strategies/policies in community health care and design of program/project monitoring and evaluation systems.
