Flip-chart for mother and child health care communication

With the aim of enhancing the quality of interpersonal communication of village health workers, CCRD designed and produced a flip-chart for mother and child health care communication for 04 main ethnic groups (Kinh, Mong, Ede and Dao) in the project areas. Thanks to its attractive design, highly tailored content for local culture, high-quality materials and user-friendliness, the flipchart will be an useful tool for village health workers to conduct interpersonal communication sessions at households.

The flip-chart includes 36 pictures divided into two sections:

(1) Instructions on mother care before, during and after birth and infant care.

(2) Children-under-five care. Each picture is attached with text comprising suggested questions and practice guidelines for each role in a family and in the community. The language of the text is easy-to-understand for local people.

The flip-chart was pre-tested with village health workers and citizens in order to ensure the appropriation among content and target audiences.
