Production of a serial radio drama on maternal and child health

CCRD finished in the production of a 30-episodes serial radio drama which is a part of its communication strategy of the project “Improving maternal and child health in ethnic group through adopted healthier behaviors” . The drama is a co-production between CCRD and the Culture – Life – Educational Science Department (VOV2 channel) of the Voice of Vietnam.

The drama is one of the key communication products of the project to approach minority groups. It is built based on Sabido’s entertainment-education model. Its content focuses on disseminating communication messages related to maternal and child healthcare, especially enhancing the role of husbands, fathers, families and the community in assisting the implementation of maternal and child healthcare. CCRD behavior change communication specialists, in cooperation with writers, playwrights and directors of VOV will disseminate these messages through fascinating stories, which fit target audiences’ preference and culture.

The drama is broadcasted in June 2012 on “San khau” – an entertainment program of VOV2 channel of Radio the Voice of Vietnam. It was rebroadcasted in Dien Bien, Yen Bai and Dak Lak – three provinces of the project.
