Training course on HIV case reporting procedure in Dien Bien and Nghe An

For the purpose of improving HIV case reporting systems and enhancing HIV/AIDS data quality in the “HIV/AIDS Strategic Information System Strengthening” project, the CCRD collaborated with Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC) - Ministry of Health to organize a training course on HIV case reporting procedure in two provinces: Dien Bien (November, 13th and 14th, 2015) and Nghe An (January, 18th to 20th, 2016).

By the end of the training course, 100% of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) staff from commune to provincial level of the HIV/AIDS prevention system in Dien Bien and Nghe An were carefully trained about HIV case reporting procedures in compliance to the Circular 09/2012/TT-BYT and HIV INFO 3.1 software.

The training significantly enhanced the capacity of provincial M&E staff in the two provinces to report, verify and manage HIV cases. They are able to conduct technical training and supervision effectively for lower levels when the project completes.
