Public policy advocacy is the effort to sustain or change public policy through various forms of persuasive communication. Public policy includes statements, policies, or prevailing practices imposed by those in authority to guide or control institutional, communities and sometimes individual behavior.
Public policy advocacy has greater chance of succeeding when it follows a sound and systematic method. The A-frame guides advocates through a 6-step procedure that increases their potential to change public policy.
These are the stages of the “Advocacy framework”. At particular stages in the “P-Process” you will be provided with an opportunity to address the related stages in the “A-frame” to provide your campaign with an advocacy component.
