USAID HIV/AIDS Strategic Information Strengthening

SISThe Center for Community Health Research and Development (CCRD) is implementing the “USAID HIV/AIDS Strategic Information System Strengthening” project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The goal of the project is to strengthen in-country strategic information capacity for effective, integrated and sustainable HIV service delivery in Vietnam. The project will be implemented from 2015 to 2018 in all 9 PEPFAR provinces, including: Dien Bien, Hai Phong, Ha Noi, Lao Cai and Quang Ninh (Northern area); Nghe An (Central area); and An Giang, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh city (Southern area).

The project is expected to contribute to strengthen the production and quality of HIV/AIDS related data from program monitoring and surveillance at community, provincial and national levels (including epidemiological, financial/economic and other data); foster a culture of data use to strengthen local HIV/AIDS responses; and generate and utilize researches for effective HIV/AIDS programming. The project will implement pilot activities for data quality control, reporting system consolidation and the capacity of data use for planning, operating, and evaluating programs in some districts of PEPFAR supported provinces. Besides, the project will coordinate with the “USAID Community HIV Link – Northern Mountains” project (also implemented by CCRD) to enhance the roles of civil society organizations in the national M&E reporting system.
