Develop National Standard Operating Procedure on HIV case reporting based on Nghe An and Dien Bien model

From 2015 to 2017, under the guidance of PEPFAR/USAID, CCRD supported Nghe An and Dien Bien to develop the Standard Operating Procedure on HIV case reporting according to Circular 09/2012/TT-BYT. The new Standard Operating Procedure helped Dien Bien and Nghe An to be able to implement HIV case reporting to meet the requirements and standards stipulated in the circular as well as adapted to situations at commune and district level. As a result, it guided local staff to collect complete and accurate information to report high-quality data and shorten reporting time by half (from 45 days to 21 days).

Based on the Standard Operating Procedure on HIV case reporting that CCRD developed for Dien Bien and Nghe An, Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control developed the National Standard Operating Procedure on HIV case reporting in order to provide provinces/cities with specific guidelines to implement HIV case reporting effectively and homogeneously which in turn directly helps to achieve the accuracy and timeliness in tracking the 90-90-90 targets.
